Mint Syrup

Mint Syrup

When in France you will often see people drinking syrups or cordials as they love them. More and more people here though are making their own so that they can control the sugar level and of course other nonnatural ingredients.

So here is my recipe for mint syrup.

Mint Syrup

Ingredients

2 bunches of mint leaves
400g of caster sugar
600mls of water

Method

  1. Place the leaves and sugar into a saucepan with the water and bring to the boil

  2. Boil for 10 minutes and remove from the hear

  3. Allow to cool and then strain into a glass bottle and store in a cool dark place or the fridge until ready to use
