Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups dried chickpeas or 1 can of chickpeas already cooked

  • Olive Oil

  • 1 tbsp sea salt

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes

Method

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight.

  2. Place in a saucepan with the soaking water and extra water so that the peas are more than doubly covered with water and cook until soft. Around two hours.

  3. Pre-heat the oven once the chickpeas are cooked to 210’c.

  4. Drain the chickpeas and place on a sheet pan.

  5. Cover with enough olive oil to coat all the peas and sprinkle the salt over and shake the pan to evenly coat.

  6. Roast for 20-30 minutes.

  7. Once cooked place in a bowl and add the spices then toss to coat evenly.

  8. Place in a serving bowl and serve.
