Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of red wine

  • 1/2 cup cognac

  • Juice of an orange

  • 1 orange sliced thinly

  • 4 cardamon pods

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 4 star anise

  • 6 whole cloves

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a medium sized saucepan

  2. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer for five minutes

  3. Serve warm
