I make my own pillow mist from lavender plants in my garden. I start by selecting healthy sprigs, harvesting them in the morning for maximum essential oil concentration. After rinsing to remove dust, I let them dry slightly on a towel.
I pour the below mixture into a dark glass spray bottle, label it, and store it in a cool, dark place. Each night, I shake the bottle and spray it over my pillow and bedding, enjoying the soothing aroma that promotes relaxation and restful sleep.
Here is my recipe for pillow mist.

Pillow Mist
Ingredients
Lavender buds from the garden (as much as can fill a masonry jar)
Vodka
Method
Place the lavender bugs in a masonry jar
Fill to the top with vodka
Lid on and place in a cool dark place for three months minimum. I place it in the cellar
Once ready to use dilute 1/3 lavender vodka to 2/3 water in a small spray bottle.
This is a great thing to spray over your sheets when making the bed with freshly cleaned and dried sheets and the spray bottles make excellent gifts.
