Mashed Potatoes - Pomme Purée
Method
Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender
Place the butter and milk in a small saucepan on medium heat and cook until the butter has melted
Drain the potatoes into a moulin or potato ricer and place through into the saucepan
Whisk the potatoes on a low heat for a couple of minutes
Then add the butter/milk mixture and whisk until smooth and combined
Taste and then season with salt and pepper to your taste
Ingredients
1 kg potatoes
200g unsalted butter
100mls whole or full fat milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Serves 4 people
