Update on all things Fabulously Delicious

I wanted to give you a little update on everything here in France, Montmorillon, life, tours, cooking experiences, new projects and the podcast I’ve been getting lots of emails and DMs recently so I thought we’d have a quick chat about everything.

Fabulously Delicious is now a part of the Evergreen Podcast network. I went to the London Podcast festival back in May and met the guys at Evergreen there and gave them some tips for Paris restaurants as one of the team was heading there next. Since then I’ve now been fortunate to join a network that has some amazing podcasts in it like The French History Podcast and Le Siecle. The partnership with Evergreen will mean that they will in the future be able to help with the growth and management of Fabulously Delicious and that will mean this French food podcast we all know and love will hopefully get a larger loving audience. Evergreen has already helped me with new artwork for the show and episodes which I love.

The Second update is connected to this partnership with Evergreen and that is the series of collaborator episodes I’m currently doing at the moment with Gary Girod from The French History podcast. Hopefully, this is the first of many in the future.

Gary and I met on a Zoom call with the team at Evergreen and got talking about our lives, mine of French food and Gary’s of French history. I have to admit I was fanboying quite a bit as I’m a big fan of Gary’s podcast the French History podcast. So we were talking and I asked Gary if he knew about James Hemings the chef and slave of Thomas Jefferson who was the first American to be trained as a French chef. He didn’t and then we got on to the subject of Thomas Jefferson and how he was the second ambassador to France for the US and his love of French food and culture.

This then gave us the idea of doing a series of episodes which we are playing on both our podcasts to introduce each other’s shows to each other’s audience. Last week Gary did an episode on Thomas Jefferson and his connection to France and especially Paris. This coming Friday I will be bringing you an episode on James Hemings and then the following Friday we have a special episode of the two of us interviewing each other so our audiences can get to know us better. This was a great experience that I hope you will all enjoy and find a new podcast to subscribe to if you have not already.

My third update is about a new book I’ve got coming that I will be self-publishing and will be coming out next month. Before covid, I planned to release a foodie guide to Paris. Having lived there for four years and of course, as you know spent a lot of time eating there. However, due to the pandemic, it was never released.

Well, I’ve updated it and finalised and in November in time for the holidays and in preparation for any trips you might have planned to Paris for Christmas, New Year or next year, especially with the Olympics I will have my fabulous foodie guide to Paris for you. It has updated recommendations on where to go, where to eat, what to eat and so much more. There are even fabulous foodie walking tours you can do.

The fourth update is about Montmorillon my home town here in France. We’ve had the most amazing summer here with festivals, events and fabulous markets to go to. Being only an hour to an hour and a half drive away from Limoges, Poitiers and some of the chateaux in the Loire as well as a quick train trip to Bordeaux and a leisurely drive to Cognac and the Dordogne it has been a few months of going to some of my favourite places in France and exploring them.

I’ve had the pleasure of showing three groups of people the area and cooking with them, eating with them and exploring with them and that’s been a fabulous experience. I can’t wait to show more of you next year and in the future.

On that note I got the bug again for doing tours, my last one was before the pandemic and it was my passion so people travelling again and visiting us here in Montmorillon has inspired me. So next year I will have a five-night foodie tour in Lyon for five nights and sometime in the year an exploration of the Loire then in 2025 we will do the Cote D’Azur again.
