Cooking Experiences

Montmorillon is a town that took a piece of my heart from the first time we came in the middle of winter 2020 and now we’ve spent years here and love showing people the town we now call home.

Everyone who comes to visit and stay has loved the experience as much as we do. Some have even come back again and some have bought property here. 

Now you can come and stay in our newly renovated townhouse situated right in the center of town. Then depending on how much time you have you can choose either a three-night or five-night stay that includes cooking with me and so much more. I’m calling these packages a Vienne Residency.

All residencies include accommodation for up to four people as two couples or you can be one person with the whole house to yourself, two friends with separate rooms or two couples or a couple with a friend with their own rooms. You will share a bathroom in the house with any friends that come.

Three-night residencies have you on your night of arrival having a welcome apero and tour of Montmorillon. The house is right in the centre of town and opposite a lovely cute French bar with a terrace to have a late-night drink if you want. Then the following day we will cook together all day and enjoy the fruits of our labour and what you’ve learnt that day in the garden at our home located not far from the house in the centre of town. Then the next day you have a choice of all-day activities/tours to do which can include market towns, beautiful historic towns, Roman ruins, UNESCO world heritage sites and so much more depending on what you’d like to do. Five-night residencies include two full days of cooking that also include market cooking classes.

Montmorillon is accessible via train with a station five minutes walk from the centre of town. You can get the TGV from Bordeaux, Paris, Charles de Gaule Airport and even Brussels straight to Poitiers then change to a train to Montmorillon. The Paris to Montmorillon connection can take as little as two and a half hours. But you can also fly to Limoges or Poitiers airports.
